Zynga's CastleVille Hits 5 Million Users In Just 6 Days

According to the latest numbers CastleVille has hit 5 million daily active players after being live for only 6 days, making it Zynga's fastest growing title yet. By comparison, Zynga's CityVille game game had hit only 3.2 million users in that same time period after launch; FrontierVille had 2.6 million users in that same time period. This comes at a good time for Zynga, as they draw very close to their IPO (expected sometime in the next week or two).

CastleVille combines a fantasy setting with the ability to create a city, decorate your fantasy kingdom, and storylines and characters that give you quest elements. So far, 68% of their users are playing at least twice a day. The game is growing faster than other recent introductions Adventure World and Empires & Allies.

Zynga notes that while AppData reports only 2.7 million users, there's a two to three day lag between Zynga's internal numbers and what appears on AppData. Here's what the growth rate looks lie so far from AppData:
