Zynga Reaches 129 Million Active Users

Posted October 1, 2009 by David Radd

Zynga announced today that the company has more than quadrupled its number of users in the last six months from 30 million monthly active users to 129 million (monthly unique visitors at 70 million). Roughly 34 million users play Zynga games worldwide everyday. Notably, the company has four of the top 10 games on Facebook, including FarmVille, Mafia Wars, Zynga Poker and YoVille.

“The rise in social gaming reflects the immense popularity of Facebook and the need for people to connect, play and express themselves with others,” said Mark Pincus, founder and CEO of Zynga. “While it is still early in social gaming, the success of our games with the user community underscores the sheer size and potential of this new movement which will finally let fun become the biggest way people interact.”

It seems as though the meteoric growth of Zynga hasn't been slowed by any supposedly stolen trade secrets.
