Zynga Brings Back the Ads

Posted January 13, 2010 by David Radd

Back in November, Zynga took a step back from cost-per-action advertising due to a large negative response from its users. At the time, Zynga CEO Mark Pincus claimed the problem stemmed from a lack of control over the CPAs, but now with his company's policies revised, ads have gone back in.

“We have set up a team that is dedicated to checking the quality of any offer we display," wrote Pincus. "This group reviews each offer and applies a strict set of standards for content and user experience before it can be displayed. We also have technology in place that will regularly check offers to verify that only Zynga reviewed offers are displayed.”

The company's new standards and practices for advertisements can be read at http://www.zynga.com/contact/advertisingGuidelines.php.
