Speaking to the Asahi Shimbun [thanks Kotaku], Nintendo President Satoru Iwata revealed that there will be a press conference for the enigmatic Vitality Sensor in July. The device is expected to go on sale soon after that.
Of greater interest to most gamers, however, the newspaper also revealed that the next Legend of Zelda title will ship to retail before the end of 2010. There was apparently no note over whether this referred to just Japan or worldwide. You may recall that Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime previously had said that the next Zelda was not confirmed for 2010.
We remain a bit skeptical that the next Zelda title for Wii (which currently lacks an official title) will find its way to U.S. stores before 2011. We'd expect to get a better idea of the game's release date at E3 2010.
