At a special developer roundtable attended by IndustryGamers, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that Nintendo is actively exploring past content like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Star Fox for development on the new 3DS portable. Although these games have not "officially" been announced, the fact that Nintendo is partially developing them would lead us to believe that we will one day see full versions of the actual games released at retail.
Nintendo also showed us a video demo on a 3DS, illustrating how beautiful the land of Hyrule looks in 3D as Link rides Epona across the vast landscape. We definitely came away impressed, and as big fans of one of the best Zelda games in the franchise, we're eager to see how the full version remade for 3DS would play.
At the roundtable event producer Eiji Aonuma also took the time to apologize for the frustrating water temple from Ocarina and noted how much easier it would be to play on 3DS. "I've lived with that for the last 10 years," Aonuma lamented.
A couple quick observations on 3DS: 1) If you're not aligned straight-on with the 3D widescreen on top, you can't really see any 3D visuals (graphics look slightly blurry when trying to watch someone else play from an angle) and 2) The 3D slider button really seems more like an on/off switch for 3D rather than a gradual increase of 3D visuals.

I hope these games don't cost more than 20-30 bucks.I still think i'm dreaming, Nintendo has outdone themselves.

ronhoward, if these games are only $30 we'll be lucky. Gamecube graphics on a portable with 3D effects AND them being classic title remakes that have potential for being actually BETTER than the originals: yeah, giving us that for only $30 dollors would be genorous. But than again, it is Nintendo; the only time they over-price things are when the Wii is involved (Wii Music, I'm looking at you)
