YouTube has released a report on the year of 2011, which was a big year for the streaming video site. They report that their videos saw one trillion “playbacks;” while no one is quite sure what defines a playback, it still shows the immense popularity and ubiquity of the site.

YouTube conducted a vote during E3 to determine the most popular trailers, and the winner was Saints Row: The Third, followed by Battlefield 3, Inversion, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Gears of War 3. A YouTube application was recently released for the new Xbox 360 dashboard.
