Xbox Executives to Keynote Tokyo Game Show

Posted August 26, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Following last year’s opening keynote by Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Kaz Hirai, Microsoft is grabbing the torch this year with not one, but two keynote speakers for Tokyo Game Show 2010 on September 16. The keynote is entitled ‘Xbox 360’s Vision and 2010’s Strategy’ and will be delivered by Microsoft Japan Home & Entertainment Chief Takashi Sensui and Microsoft Games Studio VP Phil Spencer.

The speech will kickoff the event, as it has in years past. The Tokyo Game Show 2005 keynote by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata was also the first unveiling of the Wiimote. It’s unclear if Microsoft has anything earthshattering to drop on the Land of the Rising Sun.

There is a second keynote address slated, though showrunner CESA has not announced the speaker for that event.
