Microsoft's PR department sent word today to IndustryGamers and other media outlets that it's holding a "World Premiere" event for Project Natal on Sunday, June 13, right before E3 week in Los Angeles. Additionally, the company's annual E3 press conference will follow the morning after on Monday, June 14.
With Sony having just held a press event for PlayStation Move during the Game Developers Conference, it's likely that Microsoft will finally share a concrete launch plan with everyone for Project Natal, including pricing, bundles, games lineup and more. And keep in mind that Project Natal has always been a code name, so it's possible that the motion device could be renamed on June 13 too. At this point, however, the "Natal" name has been pretty well consumed by the public (including TV appearances on shows like Jimmy Fallon), so we'd have no problem with Microsoft just sticking to that moniker.
The e-mail teaser from Microsoft had no other specific details, only presenting a timeline of attendees' life events like "Your first day of school," "Your first crush," "Your first victory," and "Your first look at the future of fun," which no doubt is a reference to Natal itself.
