Xbox 360 Pro Discontinued at U.K. Retailer

Posted August 14, 2009 by David Radd

A recent photograph taken from a Meijer catalog suggested that a price cut for the Xbox 360 Elite was coming August 30 in North America, seemingly spelling the end to the Pro model. Today, more evidence was added that the Xbox 360 Pro was being put out to pasture, this time coming from across the pond.

The website for the U.K. retailer Argos [thanks GI.biz] is no longer selling the 60GB version of the Xbox 360. "We are very sorry but Microsoft have discontinued this line," reads the website listing.

Yet another strong suggestion that the Xbox 360 Pro will be phased out. We're looking forward to Gamescom next week to see what Microsoft (and Sony) have to announce.
