Wu-Tang's RZA Reveals Involvement in Upcoming Activision Game

Posted April 26, 2010 by James Brightman

The Wu-Tang Clan's RZA revealed over the weekend that he's working with Activision on an upcoming music game. The prominent rapper posted on his Twitter page that he'd just finished up mo-cap work for the publisher. He noted that Activision is a "great team of guys who really appreciate hip-hop." In another tweet, he added, "I'm delighted to see that some people in Corp America who are benefittin $ from hip-hop are really fans of our work. Big ups Activision!"

At this point, it's not clear which game Activision has tapped RZA for, but the safest guess would be DJ Hero 2. Kotaku notes that he'd appear alongside DJ Shadow, who recently said he'd be returning to the series. DJ Shadow was heavily involved in the first game, which featured rappers like Eminem and Jay-Z starring in promotions for the title. We wouldn't be surprised to see RZA featured in the game as a character and in promotional spots.
