WildTangent Creates New Social Games Category

WildTangent announced today that it has added a social games category on its services. The first titles available include Crowdstar's It Girl and KingX Studios' Odd Manor. The full list of titles is below:

  • It Girl by Crowdstar

  • Polar Bowler Strike! by WildTangent

  • Build-A-Lot Metropolis by HitPoint

  • Gun Bros by HitPoint

  • Organized Crime by HitPoint

  • Odd Manor by KingX Studios

  • Penguin World by Bitrhymes

  • Salon Street by Bitrhymes

“Just like on social networking sites, players have the choice to connect and play with friends or choose to play alone,” said Sean Vanderdasson, senior vice president at WildTangent. “Players can take advantage of our virtual currency, WildCoins, to get in-game items and power-ups to make their game even more exciting. Players should keep an eye out for BrandBoost. Top brand advertisers will give away free in-game items when players watch a video or otherwise engage with their brand.”

In honor of the new category, WildTangent has launched a Social Summer Sweepstakes. WildTangent will be giving away a total of 10,000 WildCoins between July 1 and 8. Each day, players can learn clues via their favorite WildTangent titles, with the grand prize winner getting 1,000 WildCoins.
