Wii U Hardware 'Constantly Changing'

Posted January 31, 2012 by Ben Strauss

The developers at Team Ninja have been talking about developing for the upcoming Wii U, noting that the design for the console is “very easy,” almost “exactly like on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.”

Speaking to NGamer Magazine, Team Ninja took to discussing the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 3, a game that will be making a push to the new HD console.  While the team does acknowledge that working on the console is very easy at the moment, the design specifications are “changing constantly.”

"They asked us what we would want from the hardware, and when we give them feedback we can see that they have definitely listened and making changes," said Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi. "The hardware is still changing constantly."

"We want to introduce some elements from that into the Wii U version," added another developer for the team, Fumihiko Yasuda.

Yasuda mentioned that working with the tablet controller for the Wii U was very close to working with designs for the DS, as several members of the studio had worked on a DS title, Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword.

A detailed look at the game is expected to roll out alongside the Wii U at E3 later this year.
