Posted September 25, 2009 by David Radd

Nintendo today revealed that Wii Sports Resort has sold 1.25 million copies in the U.S. according to the NPD, having recently crossed one million in sales in Japan, the U.S. and Europe.  Total sales of the Wii MotionPlus in the U.S. have nearly reached three million, totaling those included with Wii Sports Resort, nearly 257,000 bundled with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and 1.36 million sold as standalone products.

As a result of this consumer demand, Nintendo will be offering a new bundle of Wii Sports Resort with two Wii MotionPlus accessories. The bundle will retail for $59.99, only $10 more than the version of Wii Sports Resort with one Wii MotionPlus. The Wii MotionPlus costs $19.99 as a standalone accessory.
