The new, untitled Legend of Zelda game for Wii managed to generate quite a bit of buzz at E3, even without appearing in playable form. It was Shigeru Miyamoto's hints that the game would make more extensive use of the Wii MotionPlus that got gamers excited, and in a recent Q&A translated by Wired, he reinforced its importance for the game.
“In this (installment of the series), we’re using MotionPlus to make you feel much more like you’re actually fighting while holding a sword in your hand,” said Miyamoto. “In the previous game, you aimed at things by pointing at the screen, but this time we’ll use MotionPlus to create a much more convenient targeting system and a more pleasurable playing experience.”
While the targeting and sword fighting my be different, Miyamoto has said he doesn't think the game will stray too far from convention and will not "be that radically different.”
