With Project Natal and PlayStation Move launching later this year, Nintendo will finally have some real competition in the motion controls space. We've speculated for a while that Nintendo would make its Wii MotionPlus the default Wii controller and now it's happened. The company announced today that starting on May 9, MotionPlus and Wii Sports Resort will come bundled with every Wii.
The console will still come with the Nunchuk controller and the standard Wii Sports game (Resort is in addition to the original, not replacing Wii Sports). Pricing will remain at $199.99, but Nintendo will now also offer the console in black for those who want a different color scheme than the standard white Wii.
"Nintendo leads the way in delivering rich motion-control gaming experiences at an accessible price point," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "By including even more of our top-quality hardware and software in the basic Wii system package, we're extending that commitment to entertainment and value. Now more than ever, consumers can count on Nintendo to deliver inclusive fun and advanced motion controls at a mass-market price."

They are definitely giving you alot for your initial $199. I guess they are taking Natal and Move serious after all.

Nintendo has to take it seriously. It's either drop the price or bundle in more. Seems like they're doing the latter. MS might do that too with Natal, bundling it in, but not dropping 360 price.
