Southpeak Interactive announced today that their My Baby franchise has proved exceedingly popular, selling over 1 million units in North America. Each game in My Baby franchise offers a fun parenting simulation appealing to girls aged 6 to 11. To date, Southpeak has released My Baby Girl, My Baby Boy, and My Baby First Steps for Nintendo DS, and My Baby First Steps for the Nintendo Wii.
"This significant milestone demonstrates that our My Baby franchise continues to grow at a phenomenal rate," said Southpeak President and CEO Melanie Mroz. "The lasting popularity of these titles is evident not only in sales, but also in the active user participation in our vibrant online My Baby Village community. We believe a considerable growth opportunity exists for the franchise and expect to continue the expansion of the My Baby universe in the future."
The titles were developed by French studio Nobilis Games. The next title in the Nobilis/Southpeak collaboration will be Famous for Nintendo DS. Famous will allow players to create and manage their own pop star.
