Warren Spector is busy putting the final touches on his upcoming Epic Mickey title for Wii, which ships in November, but he's already looking forward to creating the next game in what he hopes becomes a wide-ranging franchise for Disney.
Speaking with IncGamers, Spector noted that he'd like to see the series branch out into other art forms as well. "I have no interest on working on one offs. I want to do things that have a life beyond me, beyond the team, beyond a single game,” he stated.
Spector added that there are plans for comics and graphic novels to continue the Wastelands and Epic Mickey saga. “I hope there are wasteland games featuring Mickey Mouse and also the Lucky Rabbit for years to come. We’re doing comic books and graphic novels; I want Wasteland to live on beyond this game," he said.
Spector previously told IndustryGamers that he feels a "strong sense of responsibility" with Epic Mickey, since it's the iconic character for Disney. You can read more from our interview here.
