Posted February 3, 2010 by James Brightman

Scribblenauts garnered much praise from critics last year, as reviewers appreciated the game's unique puzzle gameplay and the creativity it affords the player. Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that since Scribblenauts launched in September 2009, it's sold-in 1 million copies of the title to retailers worldwide.

"We are extremely pleased with the sales of Scribblenauts and credit the game's innovation and wide appeal in making it a hit with gamers of all skill levels," said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "Scribblenauts is one of our strong original brands, and we look forward to bringing consumers more quality gaming experiences as part of our portfolio game strategy."

The 5TH Cell-developed game was one of the highlights on the portable scene during last year's E3 - it was named "Best Original Game" and "Best Handheld Game" from E3 Game Critics.
