Virgin Gaming Confirmed for E3 Reveal

Posted May 27, 2010 by M.H. Williams

It looks like the rumors of Virgin Games’ return were spot-on. The new company, Virgin Gaming, now has an official website up with a countdown clock. The clock is counting down to June 15, 2010 at 4PM PST, a date that lands directly on the opening of this year’s E3 Expo.

MCV reports that Richard Brason himself will attend the event in LA for the official launch of the company. According to reports, the company will be focused on online gaming and digital delivery, eschewing retail stores completely. With companies like Steam, Direct2Drive, and Impulse in the space already, Virgin is ready for a fight, but the company has a larger mainstream presence - and a lot more money - that should help consumer adoption.

I thought it was a new console. Nothing to look forward to for me.
