Ubisoft confirmed its own predictions recently by delaying the long anticipated Splinter Cell: Conviction... again. This still left lingering questions about certain games thought to be in Ubisoft's bullpen, namely I Am Alive and Beyond Good & Evil 2, but the company gave word today that both are still in production.
"We have been totally re-engineering the product, so it is still on the way," said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot in a conference call about I Am Alive [thanks IGN]. "It will use the Splinter Cell engine. We think it can become a very good quality product."
Meanwhile, CEO of Ubisoft France Geoffroy Sardin separately confirmed to Gamekult that both titles are being worked on, but gave few other details.
The sequel to Beyond Good & Evil, which has as strong a cult following as any franchise birthed in the past ten years, has been teased by Ubisoft but the company has refused to attach any sort of solid release date to it and was once thought to be 'on hold.'
