Transformers Might Be Getting More Games, Says Hasbro

Posted June 29, 2010 by Ben Strauss

The latest Transformers game, War for Cybertron, hasn't been a blockbuster, but it's been generally well received and it has Hasbro considering follow-ups to the '80s classic in the form of more video games.

Speaking at BotCon, the world’s biggest transformers fan convention, Aaron Archer, senior designer of Transformers and GI Joe brands at Hasbro brought up the possibility of more games down the road. The success of War for Cybertron has opened a door that “could lead to a brand expansion with an example given being a Transformers role-playing game.”

Archer also added that Hasbro is considering the possibility and talks with Activision could take place sometime in the near future.
