Tokyo Game Show 2010 Sees Record Attendance

Posted September 20, 2010 by James Brightman

Tokyo Game Show wrapped up last week, and while there was no hugely significant news (like, say, the unveiling of a PSP2), the event still did phenomenally well for organizer CESA.

CESA said that the show hosted a total of 207,647 attendees during the four days. This is the first time that TGS has surpassed the 200,000 attendees mark. By comparison, last year's show saw 185,030 people attend.

The first two days of this year's TGS, which are for industry professionals and press, had 24,764 and 24,229 people attend, respectively, and then the final two days (open to the Japanese gaming public) saw 81,469 and 77,185 people attend, respectively.
