The Simpsons Attend IndustryGamers E3 Party, Create 'E4' Spoof

Posted November 15, 2011 by James Brightman

The Simpsons episode aired this past Sunday surely entertained gamers familiar with the industry's annual E3 spectacle. The episode showcased the "Expensive Electronic Entertainment Expo" or E4, and parodied top franchises with made up names like Grand Theft Scratchy: Itchy City Stories, Shaun White: Time Snowboarder, Guts of War II: Entrails of Intestinox and World of Krustcraft.

Interestingly, a couple Simpsons writers actually attended the IndustryGamers cocktail reception during E3 earlier this year, and little did we know that the guys were essentialy at our reception and E3 in general to do "research."

If you missed the episode, Fox generally has an eight-day waiting period before the show appears for free on their website. Of course, Hulu would be another option if you can't wait.
