Tecmo Koei To Absorb Tecmo and Koei Development Groups

Posted February 9, 2011 by M.H. Williams

Tecmo Koei Games has announced that it will be absorbing the Koei and Tecmo development arms, effect April 1. When the company was originally merged in 2009, subsidiaries were created for both Koei and Tecmo, allowing both groups to work separately.

Once the groups are brought under the parent company, Tecmo Koei Games management will be overseeing the entire operation. The change is intended to make the company more efficient and flexible under a difficult software market. The new entity will still publish games under Tecmo and Koei brands.
