While the developer behind LA Noire might not be around anymore, the possibility of a sequel for the critically-hailed game could be a reality. An interview with Rockstar Games as part of an ‘Asked & Answered’ feature points out that more from the franchise could be a “possibility.”
"We're all very pleased with how that game turned out and are considering what the future may hold for LA Noire as a series,” says Rockstar in a studio response. "We don't always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won't get to them eventually--see Max and Red Dead for evidence of that. We have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing."
Of course, with Team Bondi shut down and developers working on other projects at this point, the possibility of a new LA Noire any time soon simply does not seem likely. Rockstar is just about to push out the long-awaited Max Payne 3 while preparing to ramp up for Grand Theft Auto V.
