Target Ad Places Xbox 360 Pro at $250, Elite at $299

Recent reports have heavily supported the rumor that the Xbox 360 Pro will be phased out, including a U.K. retailer listing the console configuration as discontinued and a Walmart retail catalogue advertising the Xbox 360 Elite at the discounted price of $299. Now Engadget has uncovered a Target retail catalogue suggesting the Xbox 360 Pro system will be reduced to $249 while the Elite will come down to $299.

Target says, "Why not buy an extra controller and Madden 10 as well?"

The timing of both catalogs suggests that Microsoft will cut the price of both the Xbox 360 Pro and Elite sometime over the coming weekend.

Update: The folks at Kotaku have now gotten a hold of a Best Buy ad, which just like the Target ad above, also shows a $249 360 Pro SKU and a $299 Elite model. We'd honestly be shocked at this point if the price drop didn't happen.
