There's been a lot of hype around Electronic Arts making its Super Bowl debut this year with a 30-second spot for the upcoming release of Visceral Games' Dante's Inferno (a story we broke first). Executive Producer Jonathan Knight told us that his team is "stoked" for the Super Bowl spot and Visceral did contribute a "fair amount" to it.
IndustryGamers has now obtained the full 30-second ad spot, so you don't have to wait until this Sunday. It's an interesting commercial in that it reminds us of Microsoft's Gears of War "Mad World" ad - pre-rendered cinematics and music that seems oddly out of place with the action on screen. Check it out below. Let us know what you think - worth the nearly $3 million EA had to shell out for it?
Update: The Hollywood Reporter brings word that CBS initially rejected the trailer because of the "Go to Hell" slogan, which as you can see below in the video has been replaced with "Hell Awaits."

I agree with the Gears of War comparison that the music initially seemed out of place. But that Gears commercial was one of the most artistic video game commercials I have ever seen, while this one wasn't.
As a gamer I don't really think EA's message of this game comes thru in this commercial. Luckily they have millions because they just wasted a few for this commercial.

The visuals are great but the music really detracted from the presentation. I don't think it was a well put together ad.
