Steam Sails Over 5 Million Concurrent Users

Valve has crossed yet another milestone, with PC Gamer noticing that the digital service had over 5 million concurrent users over the past week.  Steam Stats shows the peak at around 5,012,393 users total.

It’s good news for Valve, as 2011 saw Electronic Arts launch Origin, its own digital store boasting exclusives like Star Wars: The Old Republic, Battlefield 3, and Mass Effect 3.
