EA, during its fiscal announcement today, updated its numbers for the ambitious Star Wars: The Old Republic. While there has been some concern about sales and subscriber churn, the game continues to grow, the publisher stated.

"Star Wars: The Old Republic is developing a committed community of players with more than 1.7 million active subscribers and growing," stated CEO John Riccitiello.

The first ever MMO from BioWare has been a massive investment for EA, with some estimates putting the game's price tag as high as $200 million.
