Square Enix Puts KooZac Creator at the Head of Mobile

Japanese publisher Square Enix has hired KooZac creator Ben Cusack as its new Head of Mobile.  The publisher has also licensed Cusack’s title for release on iOS and Android devices.   

"It's hugely exciting to know the new version has the publishing and marketing support of Square Enix behind it," said Cusack. "On a personal and professional level I look forward to taking KooZac to a much wider audience via the forthcoming Smartphone and tablet versions."

“KooZac has all the makings of a classic puzzle game and heralds a new style of casual game for Square Enix Ltd and our expanding digital portfolio,” said Antony Douglas, Digital Sales Director, Square Enix Ltd. “Since its original online launch the game has enjoyed huge recognition from the media, the industry and its fans. The addition of Ben joining as Head of Mobile also gives us unparalleled expertise and insight into the world of mobile entertainment."

Players can expect to see a KooZac release some time in Q1 2012.
