Square Enix Employees Among Best Paid in Japan

Posted August 9, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Square Enix remains one of the premier developers in its home country of Japan. So it makes sense that its employees are well paid. It's somewhat surprising just how well paid, however.

According to Tokyo Shoko Research, Square Enix has some of the highest-paid staff in all of Japan. Each employee makes 17.9 million yen ($209,000 dollars) per year on average. More surprisingly, the staff is all relatively young for such a high salary; the average age is 41.2 years old.

It just goes to show where all that Collector’s Edition revenue goes.
