Organizers for the sixth annual Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS) today announced five special keynote presenters for the event, which is expected to attract over 1,500 attendees.
Leading this year's collection of speakers will be Yoichi Wada, CEO of Square Enix. Wada will "share the steps the group has taken in order to build a new, group-wide game development environment in an effort to make full use of the unique individual characteristics of its three core brands - SQUARE ENIX, TAITO and EIDOS and will share his vision of the future of video game development."
Other keynoters include Paul Holden, Lead Architect at LittleBigPlanet studio Media Molecule, who will talk about the challenges his studio faced in making the game; Jason Holtman, Director of Business Development for Valve; Heather Chaplin, author of the hit book Smartbomb: The Question for Art Entertainment & Big Bucks in the Videogame Revolution; and "by popular demand," Chris Hecker, Lead Architect at Maxis/EA, who will be returning to attempt to answer the question: “Can video games be considered as cultural products in the same way as literature or theatre?”
MIGS takes place November 16-17 at the Hilton Bonaventure Hotel in Montreal. You can get more information on the official event website.
