Sony Readies A New PSP Model For Europe

At its Gamescom press conference today, Sony announced another model of the original PlayStation Portable.  The new PSP is a slight redesign of the first PSP, with UMD drive in tow.  Unfortunately, Wifi support will not be a part of the new system.

SCEE president Jim Ryan revealed a scheduled fall launch and a price of €99.00 for the system, but no release outside of Europe was mentioned.  Could this new PSP skip the United States completely?
