Sony Online Entertainment has confirmed that one of the biggest MMORPGs in existence will be making the move to free-to-play, following the rousing success of moving the sequel into the same monetization scheme. EverQuest will be following EverQuest II in going F2P.
To celebrate, SOE will be offering recurring and non-recurring subscriptions, as well as a new item pack under the guise of a ‘Welcome Back’ package.
EverQuest has just recently hit 15 years of continuous play, making it one of the oldest continually active games currently available for MMOs.
