Sony: No UMD Passport Program for You North America!

Posted February 8, 2012 by M.H. Williams

Have you been desperately waiting on Sony to announce the details of the North American UMD Passport program before pulling the trigger on your PlayStation Vita pre-order?  Too bad, because Sony has told Kotaku that the program will not be making it stateside. That means if you want to play PSP titles on your Vita, you’ll need to pony up for the digital versions on SEN.

It’s another problem tacked onto a system that’s having trouble in Japan already.  Does the lack of a UMD Passport program make you change your mind about picking up a Vita on February 22?
