Sony Loses Last Guardian Producer to London-Based Bossa

Posted December 7, 2011 by M.H. Williams

Yoshifusa Hayama, vice president at Sony Computer Entertainment and executive producer on The Last Guardian, has decided to leave the company.  He’ll be heading to the News Corp-owned studio Bossa as creative director, according to Develop.  The studio is based in London, England.

Hayama’s departure follows that of Last Guardian creative lead Fumito Ueda, who reportedly left Sony almost a week ago, but remains committed to his final project at Team ICO.

Bossa is focused on developing its first 3D social game.

“Together at Bossa we have plans to bring a plethora of games to Facebook and eventually other appropriate social media channels, which include 3D elements and can be enjoyed by all age and interest groups,” said Hayama.

“The appointment of Hayama marks a great day in our journey and of social gaming as a whole,” said Bossa executive Henrique Olifiers.
