Sony Ensures Exclusivity with LittleBigPlanet Vita Devs

Posted July 19, 2011 by Ben Strauss

The developers currently working on the LittleBigPlanet franchise for PlayStation Vita have announced an exclusivity deal with Sony that will keep the developer working on Sony platforms.

The new deal means that LittleBigPlanet for Vita will remain on schedule, and that the company will be working on even more titles for Sony.  With no games as of yet released, the studio getting backing from Sony surely means good things for the company of only 30 employees.

"For us to become strong partners with Sony at such a crucial stage in our own development underlines the unswerving commitment we have made to the quality of our production," said Double Eleven CEO Lee Hutchinson in a statement.

This move from Sony indicates their willingness to push for exclusives.  After announcing $20 million for investments on PSN, this might only be the start of a revival for exclusive pushes from the big three.
