Sony Consolidates QA Studios

Posted December 14, 2009 by David Radd

Along with several studio closures in the last year, consolidation has also hit the industry and affected jobs. Along those lines, Kotaku is reporting that Sony Computer Entertainment America is consolidating its two QA groups into one location.

SCEA rep Patrick Seybold confirmed the move, saying that it was designed to streamline the company’s QA department into their San Diego office from Foster City. 30 staff positions are going to relocate and roughly 100 contractors are expected to be affected by this move.
