Rumors of a possible music service for Sony’s entertainment systems were confirmed today as Sony is bringing “Music Unlimited, Powered by Qriocity” to the PS3 and PSP. The new “cloud-based digital music service” will be available by year’s end for Europe. There have been no announcements of the service coming to the States just yet. We've pinged SCEA for comment, but have not yet heard back.
Sony has so far only announced that the service will offer “millions of songs” and that further details about Music Unlimited will be announced in the future.
Sony has also confirmed that the service will be compatible with Bravia TVs, Blu-ray players, home theater systems and VAIO computers “with one single account and without need to manage digital files.”
