SEE Games and SEE Virtual Worlds Secure License Rights to Major Entertainment Franchises

Posted August 11, 2011 by Ben Strauss

New games featuring the Men in Black, giant aliens and even Asterix the Gaul could be on the way, thanks to new licensing initiatives from SEE Virtual Worlds and SEE Games.  The company has secured the rights to multiple identifiable intellectual properties and is now able to develop and publish games for said franchises.

"SEE will bring some of the most well-known entertainment properties to the gaming space through these major licensing agreements," said Martin Biallas, CEO of SEE. "These properties are tied to memorable moments and incredible characters that players are going to interact with in future SEE-created digital and online interactive video games."

Among the new licensed IPs are Asterix the Gaul, a major comic out of Europe.  SEE Worlds also picked up a bounty of movie franchises: Men in Black, Total Recall, War of the Worlds and apparently Waterworld round out the deal.
