In a marketing calendar from EA Partners, the first major title from Respawn Entertainment is projected to have a March 2013 release date. The news would put the game in a target window at the same time as several other big studio releases, such as Insomniac’s OverStrike.
The studio, formed with a goodly amount of former Infinity Ward developers, has yet to announce what their title is at the moment. Under legal gag order and following normal marketing protocols, the only news offered by the studio has been a rather ‘blurry’ screenshot of seeming nothingness. Rumors do persist that the former Call of Duty developers have finally pushed into sci-fi FPS territory.
The marketing calendar, discovered by French gaming site Hardgamers, also shows off news for Outernauts, The Secret World and Populous. All mentioned titles are targeting a March 2013 launch window, certainly making EA rather busy for the beginning of the year.
While details do exist for The Secret World, Outernauts does leave a few lingering questions. Insomniac recently filed trademark for the title, but no real formal ties between the publisher and developer have been announced.
EA has yet to comment on the validity of the leaked internal marketing calendar.
