Insomniac has announced that the next iterations in two very familiar franchises from the studio will be coming to the PlayStation 3. The big news for first person shooter fans is that Resistance 3 will be heading to New York it seems. Although it had been hinted at before, Insomniac unveiled the new game officially for the first time today at Gamescon. Little details were given about the game, save for the title showing off the Statue of Liberty and a very stylish live action trailer.
Another familiar title is also well on the way to completion, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One. Not much info was given on this game either. Features will include drop-in/drop-out play and a lot of weapons, which is to be expected with an Insomniac game.
Resistance 3 was not given a release date, but Ratchet & Clank has been announced for a Fall 2011 release. These games both remain exclusive for the PS3. Insomniac didn't comment on the new publishing deal with EA, so there's still no word on what they'll bring to the Xbox 360.

Tempting me to update to 3.20 but it's not enough. Sony has to offer a feature equal to or greater than OOS to compensate those people they stole it from before I even think about doing so and that doesn't really solve the problem. Even then i'd only buy any games for my ps3 used. Enticing but R2 and ACIT were average for me at best while I found both of their first games on PS3 absolutely amazing. All 4 One trailer looked like a wii game and Insomniac didn't show any actual game footage for R3. So as of right now i'll pass and i'm not excited about the announcements.
