Realtime Worlds Working on Second 'Very Ambitious' MMO

Posted June 23, 2009 by David Radd

Realtime Worlds recently announced expansion plans to bring the developer up to over 300 personnel. Dave Jones, CEO of the Dundee developer, today revealed at the GameHorizon conference that the new people aren't working exclusively on APB.

According to GI.biz, Jones said that Realtime Worlds is working on "a very ambitious project" that's been in development since the studio opened in 2002. The developer has received roughly $30 million in venture capital funding to help create the unnamed title, which they will officially unveil in 2010.

While Jones didn't really give any more details, we're really curious to see what this project will turn into. APB is pretty ambitious already as a GTA MMO of sorts, so something more ambitious than that will be something to watch for.
