Raven Software Sees Realignment, Layoffs

Posted October 11, 2010 by Ben Strauss

Raven Software, responsible for Singularity, Wolfenstein and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, has been hit with layoffs today, sources close to the studio have indicated.

Activision has stated, “With the recent completion of Singularity, Raven Software is realigning its workforce to better reflect the studio’s upcoming slate.” They declined to specify exactly how many people were let go.

Some of those laid off told Kotaku that around 40 people were let go. The developer has been refocusing energy on downloadable content, and the initial three teams the studio had has been reduced to one after this latest round of layoffs.

IndustryGamers hopes those who were cut in this latest round can land on their feet quickly.
