Rare has become very focused as a studio towards Microsoft's new Natal technology, but this has apparently come at the expense of certain traditional franchises. CVG is reporting that development work on Kameo 2 was cancelled earlier this year as part of the restructuring that put Peter Molyneux at the head of all European development for Microsoft, including Rare.
The source revealed that the first Kameo's disappointing sales were also a major contributing factor in the sequel's cancellation. A few other so-called traditional games were canned as well, including a likely follow up to another Xbox 360 launch title, Perfect Dark Zero.
While certain fans of Rare titles are probably disappointed in this, the reason for it probably came down to simple business sense. The developer hasn't made any real "system moving" titles since being acquired by Microsoft, and with their best received title probably being Viva Pinata, pushing the developer towards Natal was probably a natural extension of their current specialties.

Didnt PZ0 push over a million? if they gave them a chance instead jerking them around from platform to platform then maybe they could produce some triple A titles.
