PSP God of War Dev Making AAA Console Title

Posted March 23, 2011 by M.H. Williams

Ready At Dawn, the studio best known for developing the God of War spinoffs for PSP, has inadvertently revealed that it’s working on a new big-budget title for a home console.  The project was hinted at in a general job listing the studio recently posted.

“Are you ready to work on an exciting new AAA IP for the home console? Ready At Dawn is working on a 3rd Person Action Adventure and is looking for talented, motivated and self-directed developers to join our team,” said the listing.

Other than its PSP projects, the company also ported Capcom’s Okami to the Wii.  Ready At Dawn has shown itself to be quite adept at ringing out a great experience from weaker hardware, so it will be interesting to see what they can do on a home console.  The studio has developed its own engine and remains independent of Sony, so the title could appear on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, or even the Wii.
