Today during their Gamescom press conference, Sony revealed a lot of PS3 information besides the newer, cheaper PS3 Slim. The console has shifted nearly 24 million PS3 consoles worldwide, including 10 million in Europe.

It was also noted that over 27 million people have registered for PSN, including 11 million in Europe. There have been over 560 million downloads over PSN for a total of $280 million in sales.  A new video store for Europe was also announced.

Finally, it was announced that the anticipated PS3 motion controller will be shown off in greater detail at Tokyo Game Show.
