Ubisoft today officially announced the latest game in their long running Prince of Persia game series. Titled Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, the game will be part of the Sands of Time continuity and not the most recent game to use the Prince of Persia title.
Very few details were revealed about the game, other than the promise of “fan-favorite elements” on top of “new gameplay innovations.” More details about the game are promised to be revealed during the VGAs on Spike TV, taking place Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 8 PM.
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is set to release May 2010, the same month the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time movie is scheduled to hit theaters, so it seems very likely that the two products will be tied together.
