Last week's announcement of Portal 2 gave precious few details, save for the fact that the game is coming later this year. Today, however, scans of a Game Informer cover feature have revealed quite a bit more of the game [thanks VG247].
Portal 2 takes place centuries after the first game, but despite this, hero Chell and antagonist GlaDOS will reprise their respective roles. The Aperture Science Labs have been overgrown with plants, and GlaDOS and her personality cores have taken over certain sections.
The portals work like they did in the first game, though there are more opportunities to use interesting physics effects, such as with wind vents and tractor beams. There will also be a larger variety of items to interact with (like Weighted Storage Cube and the Reflection Cube) and a new “paint” that imparts greater speed when stepped on. Finally, there will be a co-op campaign that will be wholly separate from the single-player story and it will star two bipedal robots.

We're all struggling to get over and break through into something or some realm that will make us feel happier or less miserable. Teenagers, of course, struggle and suffer the most, at least in their own heads. I went through emotional hell from age 13 to 18, and the only thing good about it, looking back, is that I grew past it. It could've killed me but it didn't.

And even though that sub might imply that the players are "returning", that could or could not be true. Many players keep a sub going just to keep up with skill learning. It's really the same with any game that has the developer never tells "unique players" but "Active subs."

This preview will, I hope, change a bit your mind after the previous trailer of FEAR 3. I mean, the previous trailer was a kind of terrible news for those who enjoyed the series: the shitty in-game footage mixed with a ridiculous real-movie action.
