PlayStation Vita launches in a little over a week, but the advertising thus far has been somewhat sparse. That's all about to change, however. Speaking with IndustryGamers at the DICE Summit last week, Sony indicated that this would be the week where a massive campaign kicks off.
It was just revealed to the New York Times as well that Sony would be spending around $50 million to market the PS Vita to consumers. Sony corporate communications told us at DICE, "You're going to see a massive blowout [in terms of marketing] - in television, in print, in terms of signage. This will be probably the biggest product launch in the company's history."
We'll have much more on Vita soon, as we also met with Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida at the show. Stay tuned!
